Who is your Hero?

After the general elections of December 2007 violence sparked all over Kenya. Neighbours turned on neighbours and friends became enemies. But not everyone succumbed to the madness in those dark hours.

There were many people who did extraordinary things to restore peace, such as organizing a peace march, gave someone shelter or stood up for members of other communities. We asked you to nominate those peace heroes and received over 500 nominations. You can still find all nominations on the website but the entry period for nominations is closed since December 21st.
